How to Add a Destination in Precog
You can add a destination in Precog to connect to the data warehouse or database where your transformed data will be loaded. A destination is the system — such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks — that receives data from your sources through Precog.
Steps
1. Open Your Workspace
From the Organization Dashboard, select the workspace where you want to add the destination.
2. Go to Destinations
In the workspace menu (left-side navigation), select Destinations. This opens a view of all configured destinations in your workspace. Select Add Destination in the top-left corner.
3. Select a Destination Type
On the Create New Destination page, type the name of your data warehouse or database (for example, Snowflake or Google BigQuery) in the search bar. Select your destination from the list, then select Continue (bottom-right corner).
4. Enter Destination Details
Add a descriptive Destination Name — this name appears in Precog when you create schedules or view history.
Optionally, add a Description to help your team understand the purpose of this destination.
Select Configure (bottom-right corner).
5. Prepare Configuration Details
Before continuing, gather the information required for your destination's connection form. Depending on the system, you may need host names, credentials, or permissions from your IT or database administrator.
If you don't have this information yet, you can return later — your setup will be saved.
6. Configure and Review
Enter all required configuration details into the form.
Select Review (bottom-right corner).
After reviewing your details, select Create Destination (bottom-left corner).
Result
Your new destination appears in the Destinations list within your workspace. You can now create a Schedule to send data from your sources to this destination.
